This mural is in Santa Paula CA, a small town about 10 miles inland
from the Pacific Ocean near Ventura and nestled in a large valley
full of citrus groves.
The mural, on a corner on Main Street, commemorates the history
of Santa Paula's Main Street. The large image inside the archway
depicts Main Street in 1910. If the viewer stands next to the
mural and looks the other direction down Main Street, he or she
sees the view in the mural, with many of the same buildings.
The other smaller pictures show other scenes from Santa Paula's
past: the original library, an early Hispanic market, and a schoolhouse.
