  At the right end of the mural, the small image on the left shows construction of the first pipeline bringing natural gas to Los Angeles in 1913 by the Southern California Gas Co., founded by Mr. Kerckhoff. On the right is an image of a hydroelectric powerhouse, built by Mr. Kerckhoff in 1901 in nearby San Antonio Canyon, to provide electricity for the trolley line.
